About the role
Our Child Development Service (CDS) works with children with disabilities to maximise their function and support their development. The team is based in Masterton and works across the Wairarapa region, seeing children and their whānau in outpatient clinics and community settings including home, pre-school and school environments.
This is a permanent Part time position working 16 hours (0.2 FTE) per fortnight Monday - Friday, days and hours of work to be discussed. We also welcome enquiries from those looking for fixed term opportunities as well.
About our team
The CDS team is a dynamic team that works in an interdisciplinary manner and has strong links with the Health New Zealand paediatric services, allied health team, child mental health services and more widely, into the education sector and with other child services and NGOs. The Speech Language Therapist works closely with other team members to contribute a SLT perspective to assessment and diagnosis.

About you
Qualifications required
- You will be registered with the New Zealand Speech Language Therapy Association and hold a current practising certificate.
- Have solid experience in paediatric general health settings.
- You will be a flexible and enthusiastic clinician, who thrives in a team environment.
- Focused on delivering the best possible clinical care for clients.
