About the Role

The District Efficiency Improvement Lead, within the Office of the Group Director Operations (GDO), leads the District's Efficiency Improvement Programme (EIP), providing governance, oversight, coordination, and reporting to support informed and timely decision-making. The role monitors progress, identifies issues requiring action, and drives collaboration across services, divisions, and teams to achieve programme objectives.

The position may also lead priority projects and initiatives on behalf of the GDO, coordinating action across multiple leaders and ensuring the effective flow of information to support organisational priorities.

This is a full-time permanent position working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) Monday-Friday

About you

You will be a critical and strategic thinker with a strong systems perspective, demonstrating the ability to effectively prioritise, manage multiple complex initiatives, and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes. You will possess exceptional influencing and persuasive skills that inspire and motivate others, alongside highly developed relationship management capabilities that enable the establishment of effective partnerships with senior leaders, colleagues, and key stakeholders.

  • Tertiary or professional qualification
  • Professional project management qualification (PMI, Prince2, Agile)
  • An in-depth knowledge of programme management methodologies and concepts
