About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team, you will be providing safe, competent, individual nursing care with a medical, surgical and rehabilitation focus for patients to maximise their health and rehabilitation potential.
This is a permanent part time position working 48 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE), rostered and rotating shifts. To be eligible to apply for this position you will be a New Zealand citizen of hold a residency or perm visa status
About the Team/Service
The Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation team is based on a 15-bed ward at Wairarapa Hospital. Inpatients on the ward have a combination of medical, surgical and rehabilitation needs, and the multidisciplinary team provides individualised management and care plans to support patients to achieve their functional potential and allow them to return to living in the community. The team works closely with patients and their whānau / support network to achieve this, together with being responsive to the wider needs of Health NZ Wairarapa to deliver effective and efficient healthcare and achieve Health Targets.

About you
- Registration with Te Kaunihera Tapuhi o Aotearoa - Nursing Council of New Zealand
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and scope appropriate to area of work
- NZ Registered General and Obstetric or Comprehensive Nurse
- Good clinical nursing skills, with experience in or an interest in working in a rehabilitation or clinical setting, including with older people.
Willingness to act as a patient advocate.
